Tegra Medical raises funds for NEADS

Tegra Medical Franklin employees raised $1,320 to help sponsor a service dog for a client of NEADS. It takes more than $42,000 and approximately two years for NEADS to aquire, train and match their dogs. They ask each of their clients to help by raising a minimum of $8,000. Tegra Medical’s donation to the client has taken her one step closer to her goal and gives NEADS the ability to help more people.

To date, NEADS has placed over 1,600 service dog teams. With 30 years of experienced, they take great pride in matching their highly-trained dogs to meet the specific needs of their clients.

NEADS (National Education for Assistance Dog Services, also known as Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 1976 and is based in Princeton, Massachusetts. Their Service Dogs become an extension of their handlers and bring freedom, physical autonomy and relief from social isolation to their human partners who are deaf or have a disability.
