March 23 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Customer Message

To our customers:

Tegra Medical is continuing to remain operational and focused on manufacturing your products as we navigate the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. (My previous letter on March 17 outlined specific steps we are taking to promote safety and productivity in our manufacturing facilities.)

Although Massachusetts, where two of our facilities are located, is now facing a stay-at-home advisory, both the federal and state authorities define businesses like ours as essential, and thus they are allowed to stay open.

The definition of an essential business from the Homeland Security website includes:

Manufacturers, technicians, logistics and warehouse operators, and distributors of medical equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), medical gases, pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products, vaccines, testing materials, laboratory supplies, cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting or sterilization supplies, and tissue and paper towel products.

Throughout this period, the guidance of local and federal authorities such as the CDC will inform our decisions about safety and operational procedures.

We are in communication with our key suppliers and still do not anticipate any interruptions to our raw materials supply chain. We will reach out to you if anything changes that might affect your products.  The management team will also continue, as noted in my March 17 letter, to meet daily to assess the situation and provide meaningful guidance.
