Tegra Medical named Gold Award winner by MassEcon

FRANKLIN, MA--Tegra Medical is pleased to announce that it has been named the Gold Award winner for the Southeastern region by the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development, a nonprofit partnership of business, industry leaders, and government dedicated to fostering economic growth in the Commonwealth since its formation in 1993. “The Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards showcase the tremendous stories of growth that happen everyday in the Commonwealth,” said Jerry Sargent, Executive Vice President of Citizens Bank and MassEcon Chair. “Despite the difficult economic atmosphere, these companies have been able to make great progress and they continue to be leaders in each of their industries.” Tegra Medical continues to invest in capital equipment and in its people.  With 280 current employees—205 in Franklin and 75 in Dartmouth—Tegra has committed to hiring 20 new people a year for the next five years.

The company was nominated for the award in September by Brian Taberner, Director of Planning and Community Development in Franklin.  "I'm pleased and honored to accept the award on behalf of all the wonderful people we have here at Tegra Medical," said Roche. "It's really gratifying to be nominated by the town of Franklin, and to be selected as a gold winner in the Southeast region of the state."
